Passionspiele Oberammergau 2022
They take place every ten years: the "Passionsspiele Oberammergau". The performance in 2020 has been postponed - but it will be that time again in 2022!
To put an end to the misery of the plague, the people of Oberammergau vowed in 1633 to perform the Passion of Christ every ten years. The first performance took place the following year. In times of the coronavirus pandemic, there were postponements - the last performance took place in 2022. In 2030, the time has come again - the Passion Play will take place for the 43rd time!
